Finding time to play at Kintbury Tennis Club

There are plenty of opportunities for play at Kintbury Tennis Club. These include

  • Wednesday night club night. Adult members have priority after 6.30pm and all are welcome to join in. We mix and match according to who is present and everyone will get a game. What's more, for the first few weeks of the new season (2010), our coach will be on hand with FREE advice and tips to improve your game, whether you are a beginner or a member of the first team.

  • League matches take place on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights, and occasional Sunday mornings from May to end of July. Obviously, if you are in the teams, you'll be playing then. Once matches are finished round about 9.30pm, there's still time for half an hour of play under floodlights.

  • Saturday afternoon club sessions aren't organised as such, but it's a good time for members to get together. If we find there is enough demand, we may start to make these more formal. If you would like to coordinate these sessions, please contact the chair and we will help you get started.

  • Friday night fun. We are looking at ways to create a regular, once a month, Friday night tournament/social event. When we have formulated a better idea of how this might work, we will be getting in touch. Please ask John Howell for details.

  • Sundays are usually free all day, unless we are holding a family tournament or other event.

  • Arrange your own. Other than formal club sessions and league fixtures, and after school coaching on Tuesday and Wednesdays, the courts are often free for you to do your own thing. If there is a session you'd like to see, why not organise it yourself? The club would welcome everyone getting involved and encouraging other members to play. You can even use the contact members page on this site to get in touch with other players of a similar standard, similar age, or the same gender.

If the courts are going to be in use for league matches on any given day, the fixture will be announced on the home page of this website.

  • You can also view a pdf of our provisional weekly schedule.

  • You can book your own courts to arrange club competitions or friendly games.
